Pockets fill up and a phone in the hand is a phone that gets dropped. The ICONTACTIC Belt-Clip Phone Sheath is an open-top hard shell that sits on the belt. The phone slides in from the top and stays covered over its lower two-thirds; a lock at the bottom keeps it seated until you draw it. The clip on the back is detachable and sized for everyday belts.

Overview

The sheath is a rigid shell formed in two layers: a textured black outer layer over a grey inner layer that shows at the mouth. The top is open, so the screen and the top of the phone stay clear. A lock at the bottom edge holds the phone in the shell. On the back, a ribbed polymer belt clip is fixed with three screws and can be removed. The shell is shaped for a specific device envelope; that envelope is published once verified.

Setup and use

Fix the clip to the back with the three screws if it is not already fitted. Slide the clip over the belt. Insert the phone from the top until the bottom lock engages, then check that it does not lift out on its own.

Care

Wipe the shell with a damp cloth. Keep grit out of the mouth so the phone finish is not marked. Check the clip screws for tightness from time to time.
