Belt holes force a fit that is never quite right. The ICONTACTIC 1.5-Inch Nylon Ratchet Belt locks at any point along a hidden track, so the fit is set in one pull and released with the buckle lever. A stiffened core keeps the strap flat under light gear, and the low-profile buckle sits close to the body.
Overview
The strap is woven nylon over a stiffened core with sewn edge binding. The ratchet buckle engages a track on the inside of the strap, so the belt tightens in small steps and releases with a lever. The adjustable length range, strap thickness and buckle material are published after supplier verification. The strap is offered in a black camouflage weave, the colorway shown by the source; other colorways are confirmed with the supplier.
Compatibility
An everyday belt for 1.5-inch belt loops. Pouches with a belt passthrough or 1.5-inch loops ride on it; it is not the rigid outer equipment belt.
Setup and use
Measure your waist over the trousers you will wear. Trim the strap to length if the supplier unit is cut-to-fit, fit the buckle, then thread the belt and press the strap through the buckle until it locks. Lift the lever to release.
Care
Wipe with a damp cloth. Air dry. Do not machine wash. Keep the ratchet track free of grit.
